I’M NOT LASHING FOREVER
Hello, and yes you read that right. I’m not going to lash forever.
I, Bri McCarver will not be lashing until I am old and gray. Actually far from. I really only have goals to lash for about 10 more years. Is it because I hate it? NO! Is it because I think it’s too fast paced and crazy? Well not really. The reasons are very simple, and I bet you have similar feelings in your own life.
I will not be lashing forever for a couple reasons, but the main one is I have other dreams. I have dreams of becoming a florist actually. I am extremely passionate about botany but the sadly a I am not blessed with a green thumb.
Would I have ever been able to make that cute dream a one day realty without lashing? HECK NO. Lashing has given me the financial security to allow this dream to… if you will...bloom and allowed my confidence to blossom in realizing that there is a need for people who are receptive to beautiful things. Beauty will never go out of style.
Why do I share this information with you? Because like me, I know you are a dreamer. Lash artists are go getters; we excel in customer service, and these are all traits that make for wonderful occupational dreamers. I want to stress to you the importance of not being afraid to leave what you know best, and follow an impression, a tingle, an interest or a curiosity.
Call it conscious, call it God, call it chance, this is life pushing you to learn and grow in an organic way. Change is never meant to be feared, but embraced and trusted as change is the only things that will grow us into who and what we are supposed to become while on this journey. Take what you need from where you are, and go with grace when that your chapter is completed.
I love my currently path that I am on and leaving it now would been heartbreaking. However, I know the day will come when I will get an impression, a curiosity to see where my other talents can take me, and I will greet the opportunity with a willing heart and an open mind. Know when to stay, but arguably more important, know when to go, and go with humility and fire.
